Clay Paddle

A good paddle is useful for handbuilding, altering thrown pots, and coil-building large pots. These paddles are made from solid beech wood with a rubber grip for more secure handling. One side is flat, the other convex.

Use a paddle to compress your clay by paddling from the outside of your work with the flat side, and a second paddle, convex side to the clay, on the inside.
